ABOUT
Raised in Porcia, Italy, BN Aycox developed an early appreciation for the power of design, craftsmanship, and the stories clothing can tell. Growing up surrounded by Italy's rich artistic and fashion traditions sparked a lifelong fascination with visual expression and the role costume plays in shaping character and narrative.
She later studied Theatre, followed by Film and Television, where she combined her passion for storytelling with the collaborative art of costume design. That foundation continues to influence her work today, allowing her to approach every project through both a performance-driven and cinematic lens.
Working across feature films, television, and commercial productions, BN believes costume is more than clothing—it is one of the first languages a character speaks. Her design philosophy centers on authenticity, emotional truth, and creating wardrobes that feel lived in, intentional, and inseparable from the stories they inhabit.
Beyond the creative process, BN brings a comprehensive understanding of wardrobe department operations, with experience in budgeting, sourcing, custom builds, fittings, continuity, and collaborating with directors, producers, performers, and multidisciplinary creative teams. Known for her adaptability, resourcefulness, and calm presence under pressure, she thrives in the fast-paced environment of production while balancing creative vision with practical execution.
Drawn to stories that explore the complexities of the human experience, BN continues to seek projects that challenge her creatively and contribute to visually compelling, character-driven storytelling.
She believes the best costumes don't simply dress a character—they reveal them.
